hope will prove beneficial.

By far the best advice would be writing articles, just like the
one you are reading. If you search for: The best way to promote
your website Stuttering and its effects

on Google and just look where these two articles are placed. As
of July 2005 they were number one. This alone will create a good
level of visitors to my websites as you are able to add a live
link at the bottom of the article to your site.

When you have written an article you need to submit it to
various article websites such as http://www.ezinearticles.com
and just watch your hits increase.

To find other article websites you can search the internet, I
also use a website called goarticles.

The other benefits are the fact that other webmasters or people
are able to read your article and even use it on their websites,
thus creating lots of additional backward links. These links are
very important these days and in turn will increase PR ratings,
which in turn will mean you are higher placed in search engines.

Ppc can also be useful as you drive targeted traffic to your
website, be careful though not to spend more than you are likely
to earn.

Link exchange programs are also of value as per the reasons
above.

If you are able to find a cheap search engine optimisation
company this may also be of benefit.

Stephen Hill is a webmaster from Birmingham, examples of his
work are at http://www.gain-confidence.co.uk and

“Show me how to maintain my confidence when things are not going well.” Does it surprise you that many of the most successful business executives and athletes today sometimes wrestle with the problem of lost confidence?

Here’s a basic truth that I’ve confirmed many times over the past 30 years working with individuals in the high-performance domain: It’s easy to be confident and have a positive mindset when things are going well! The true champion however, is one who’s able to retain a strong sense of self-confidence even when the wheels are “falling off his wagon” and in so doing, still bring his or her best performance to the game regardless of the challenges that they face! High level competitors understand this and this explains why for many, this is the second Holy Grail of the performance equation.

But why do we sometimes suffer crises of confidence? The answer lies in the yardstick by which most of us measure success, and around which we build our confidence. That yardstick is – you guessed it: RESULTS! So often, we let our confidence be dictated by the results we achieve. When results are good, it’s easy to maintain a high level of confidence but when results are poor, our confidence often takes a beating and our personal performance nosedives. We doubt ourselves and wonder whether we’ll ever be able to climb out of this performance ‘hole’. And when you lose your confidence, is it tough to climb out of that hole…to turn that kind of negative and destructive thinking around? You bet it is!

But the truth of the matter is, more often than not… WE CAN’T DETERMINE THE RESULTS!

No matter how well you perform as an individual, in most instances other factors outside of your direct control have an effect on the outcome. But how do you get around this problem of loss of self-confidence? How do you maintain your confidence in yourself when the results are far from what you’d hoped they would be? The solution is simple enough…but it’s not very easy: You have to change the yardstick.

What’s the only thing that’s 100% within your control, that’s not dependent on any other factor? The answer of course is “you” or more precisely it’s the commitment you make and the effort you invest to give your personal BEST every time you’re called upon to perform. YOU are the only one who can cause YOU to give less than your very best effort in the face of every challenge you take on. If you choose to give your best effort, there’s nothing I or anyone else can do to cause you to give less than that. Consider what would happen to your confidence if your yardstick was changed to measure how well you gave your honest-to-goodness best effort when you were called upon to perform.

If you regularly accomplish this task, you’ll prove to yourself that YOU can count on YOU to give your best no matter how great the challenges you face. If you consistently behave this way, your confidence will only grow to become stronger and stronger. And so will you’re self-esteem since self-esteem is the reputation we develop with ourselves. It shouldn’t be only about the results you achieve, it should mostly be about the personal commitment and the effort you invest to give your best at all times.

You will still be disappointed about some of the outcomes you achieve because results are outside of your direct control, but the realization that you can count on yourself to truly give your best effort will help you to grow your confidence in yourself. This confidence will then allow you to approach the challenges you face with greater calm and with a more directed focus on the process of that performance, rather than on its outcome.

The irony of it is, when you focus on the process of personal excellence and commit to giving your best effort every time you’re called on to perform – win, lose, or draw – the results most often take care of themselves and your performance ends up being the best you’ve got. The less you focus on the results while you’re trying to achieve them and the more you focus on the process of simply performing ‘in the moment’, the better the results typically are.

Confidence is an important aspect of our lives which we don’t very often pay attention to unless it needs a boost or pick me up but what about increasing your confidence? How to increase your confidence and keep on track with your goals by ensuring you are building up and developing the level of confidence you have. You may have areas of confidence which need an increase possibly leadership or further goals depend on you becoming more comfortable with yourself and others. Confidence is like any other skill it needs development, time and love to grow and excel.
Start by making a list of all the special and unusual talents you may have. From great to small this list will show all the things that you have or can offer as a talent or skill. If you have trouble with this you may like to get the help of a friend, try and get as many as you possibly can. This is no time to be shy or modest. Just be honest with yourself, think right back to your childhood and remember the things you were good at then. Whether you can balance a spoon on your nose or dive for buried treasure all of your skills and atlantes are unique to you and have been developed and learned in a way which is comparative to no-one. It helps to keep this list somewhere handy so you can add to it and watch it grow.
Whether your passion lies in flowers or beehives, it is important to know and spend time focusing on your passions and things which you enjoy. Confidence comes from how you feel so if you are spending a small amount of time looking after yourself every week by doing something which ignites passion within you, it is amazing how much different your confidence levels will be. When you are true to yourself you are a more relaxed and happy person. Finding a balanced lifestyle where you are not only meeting the needs of others but yourself as well will increase your confidence and maybe even re-spark your smile so make sure you make the time to find your passion.
Role Models are a great way to track progress and maintain confidence boosting goals. It is important to of course be realistic about a role model and sincere as to why they inspire you. Make sure that you choose someone whom you admire and can relate to. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a celebrity or someone of authority. Though it is necessary to find someone with skills and talents which you aspire to, and preferably someone who you can track your progress against, it may even help to combine your passion with your role model and incorporate the two for maximum potential and results.
One of the hardest things for a person with low self esteem of confidence to do is take a compliment, though if you can master learning to accept compliments then you are well on your way to increased confidence and maybe you will even believe the compliments. By simply acknowledging a compliment with a thank you, you are allowing the positive energy behind that compliment to surround you. You may not believe it now but this skill will not take ling to develop and you will see results in how you feel about yourself. By brushing off a compliment you will never believe it yourself, but by allowing someone else to pay you a compliment you are doing a service to both them and you.
